Dr. Roderick J. Glatt serves as the Founder & Managing Director of Innovative Leadership Consulting, a forward-thinking consultancy that offers evidence-based guidance to Corporate and Faith-based organizations, individuals and teams. With extensive experience across educational and belief-driven sectors, he brings seasoned leadership to the table.
For over 25 years, Dr. Glatt has been deeply involved and successful in Christian ministry. His journey includes roles such as Publications Coordinator for a national publishing company, Program Director for a state convention (where he established a statewide fellowship of pastors in Tennessee), and the initiation of around 15 new churches statewide. Prior to founding Roderick J. Glatt Ministries (RJGM), he shepherded congregations in Lebanon, McMinnville, and Nashville, Tennessee. At RJGM, he conducted workshops, offered leadership training, premarital and marital counseling, performed weddings, and delivered teachings to the Christian Church and its leaders. His pastoral contributions were acknowledged with Public Service Proclamations by a prominent Nashville Mayor and Tennessee State Senators. Additionally, he was appointed Chaplain of the Day by The State of Tennessee's Speaker of the House of Representatives. The United Brotherhood Ministry of Nashville, Tennessee, honored him as Pastor of the Year.
Education and Organizational Leadership is Dr. Glatt's passion. When he's not imparting instructional wisdom in Christian education, he's teaching AP English, Composition, Sociology, or Psychology. He's adept at balancing educational pursuits with belief-driven endeavors. His achievements include developing Sunday school curricula for congregations of varying sizes, creating policies and launching a Bible Institute for a mega church. Dr. Glatt's educational engagement spans all levels: elementary, middle, high school, and higher education. He's worked within both public and charter (K-12) systems, as well as in college and medical school settings. Notably, he spent eight years on a state university Foundation Board of Directors, contributing to fundraising efforts for student scholarships. His commitment extended to a decade-long role as a Commissioner of the Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County City Government, including serving as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Historic Nashville Municipal Auditorium Commission.
Beyond his consulting endeavors, Roderick is a licensed life insurance agent. His academic journey encompasses a BS Degree in Political Science (Tennessee State University), 22 hours towards an M.Ed. Degree in Elementary Education (transferred towards Christian Education), a Th.B. Degree in Biblical Studies (American Baptist College), an M.A. Degree in Christian Education (Southern Baptist Theological Seminary), and an Ed.D. Degree in Leadership and Professional Practice (Trevecca Nazarene University). His doctoral research honed in on the interplay between conflict and leadership, emphasizing the impact of culture on conflicts. More recently, his focus has expanded to assess inclusivity within the context of group dynamics and outcomes. Personally, he is married to Angela and relishes time with his three children: Marlon, Jaimie, and Roderick II.
